Zero Day: Grahams Road, PEI

Jeremy takes a break with more family in PEI

Zero Day: Grahams Road, PEI

Date: Sunday, August 26, 2023

I won't say a lot about this day.  Partly because I spent nearly the entire day blogging.  Partly because the rest was spent with family.

I woke up and went out to grab a few items that were needed at the grocery store.  Because of who I am...I also stopped in at the local bakery and brought home a big 'ol sampler of what they had!  Kudos to The Willow Bakery and Cafe in Kensington.  They do good work!

I blogged.  I blogged and I blogged and I blogged.  I have to admit, I'm getting tired.  Physically tired of the biking and the constant moving around.  Mentally tired of all the change, the new experiences, reconnecting and leaving again, capturing every single day, investing time on reflection and cataloging all the experiences.  I was told by someone in Calgary who had crossed the country in 2011 that by the time I reached Nova Scotia I would be tired and would want the trip to be done.  I had scoffed at the idea, but he assured me it would happen.  I think now he might have been right.  It's been a long time, and no matter how many days I take off...I'm still feeling tired.  It's a good thing the end of the trip is not too far away.

After blogging was done I spent some time hanging out with my family.  We were up late into the evening as we sat around, talked, reminisced, told jokes, caught up, and just enjoyed the time together.

Pretty sure we were singing "Sudbury Saturday Night" or "Gumboot Cloggeroo"

I'm sorry to have spent so much of the day blogging and ignoring everyone, but I already have plans to see them again when the ride is done...and so I'll be back soon!
